While I was sitting in my family room with my dog one day, I realized something. She was sitting among a welter of blankets, all cozy and warm, while the poor dogs at the animal shelter were shivering in the cold. The animal shelter does not have a sufficient amount of funding to procure ‘trivial’ items such as blankets or towels, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I have been collecting gently used blankets and towels to donate to our local animal shelter so that all of those animals can be just as privileged as my dog. Though my donating towels will by no means banish the problem from existence, it will help to keep the adorable animals from freezing in the night.

I sorted through my toy box and closet this weekend so that I could donate some of my clothes, shoes, and toys to the Hope House. Although it was difficult for me to give up some of my favorites, I was very generous and understanding. I put these items into plastic bags and left them on the front step for Hope House to come pick up!

Over the weekends, my friends and I go to the Bhutanese refugee center and help tutor the refugees in SAT skills. In addition to tutoring, I have also helped in a fundraiser, which raised money to buy TI-84 graphing calculators for the refugees and helped pay for the cost of their SAT test. Apart from helping high schoolers I also help the younger refugees with school work and organize fun art projects for them to do. My friends and i have recently undergone a remodeling project for the refugee center, where we re-painted and re-carpeted the center.

Hi, I am Kevin Samraj. I helped my cub scout pack raising fund by selling Pop Corns. I and my den friends sold popcorn at Kroger Shopping complex and also went door to door within my community. I raised more than a hundred dollars to help meet my pack expenses. This project took a while but the effect was large.And it was also yummy and fun!!!

We collected books for African kids who don’t have many books to read. Our goal was 100 books, and we actually sent 105 books to African Library Project. We also sent $10 from our piggy bank to help ship all the books. We were so happy to share with the friends in Africa since they don’t have enough books to read and learn, and now we think they will be happy too!

I have collected canned and non-perishable food Items by going to houses in my neighborhood and asked all my friends for donation. I have donated all the collected canned food to the hungry.

My name is Kassie. I am going to run a 5K race on May 12 to benefit Abba House. Abba House is a long-term residential ministry where women with substance abuse and mental health issues can have a safe place to recover and receive God’s love and forgiveness.

I have a passion for Abba House because several children in my Sunday school class live there while their mothers are in treatment. I will write a letter describing my project and collect pledges from neighbors, friends, and family.

My brother and I like to read books. We know there are many children in this world that can’t read. We also know that a lot of children don’t have enough clothes to wear epecially during the winter.

We collected children’s clothes and books from our friends and family, then we asked our parents to drive us to the Goodwill in our area and donated them.

We love to help other people,especially children. We feel so great that we can help other children.

My brother and I collected food and toilletries by gathering coupons in a drive at my school that we created. We acquired coupons for items such as cereal, pasta, baby food, canned food, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Then, we went to Publix to buy the items. And after that, my brother, mom, and I, went to the homeless shelter them off, and we revieved a receipt saying that we donated.
