Chris:
My family has a home up in Rabun County in the country. Rabun County has some areas where people live who are poor or have lost their jobs and do not have enough money for food or clothes. This year, I have donated all of the good clothes I have outgrown to Glory Seeds to give to kids who need them. Glory Seeds is an organic farm that is run by Larry and Kim who live next door to us. Glory Seeds gets food and clothing out to everyone in the county . This summer they started a garden named Oliver’s Garden. Oliver’s Garden is named for a little baby boy, Oliver, who died at birth. His mom and dad live across the Stekoa Creek from us. The garden is a children’s garden which means kids get to grow the food in it and then give the food to families who need it. I was one of the first kids to volunteer to work in the garden this summer. I planted pole beans and watered them and they are getting really big. Also, this summer I was going to go to the Matt Ryan Atlanta Falcons football camp. I had gone last year and it was great. This time, I gave my spot at the camp to one of the kids, Justin, who lives in Rabun County down the road from us. His dad told us after the camp that it was the happiest he had ever seen his son in his whole life.

Also, sometimes my mom made treats in our kitchen to take to neighbors too. I always helped with the baking and cooking of those and then we would go out and deliver them, sometimes on our 4 wheeler. Also, Yesi is a 10 year old girl who is at Egleston Hospital. She has cancer and is going to be at the hospital for at least 2 months to get medicine to help her. She is very sick. I have donated toys, games and a stuffed animal to her. I hope this makes her feel a little better.
